First cinema seats certified for FLEXOUND Augmented Audio™ are now in mass production. Exhibitors all around the world can add value to their premium product as the renowned seat manufacturer Ferco Seating launches two FLEXOUND certified models.
Ferco Seating has gained FLEXOUND Augmented Audio™ certification for two of their models, Premium Verona and Premium Milano. FLEXOUND also has their own Finland-produced model available and other manufactures and models will be announced soon.
The first commercial movie theatre Boosted by FLEXOUND Augmented Audio™ has immersed moviegoers with the feel of sound since February in Finland and it has been a success.
“Our co-operation with Ferco Seating is the next step in our global cinema strategy as augmented audio defies all cultural barriers. We are currently negotiating with exhibitors from all over the world”, says Flexound CEO Mervi Heinaro.
FLEXOUND Augmented Audio™ for cinemas complements all current sound systems. It combines high-quality surround sound with physical vibration, creating a unique, immersive cinema experience.
The technology offers equal sound quality in every seat independent of seat location. It improves the clarity of dialogue and enables lower sound volumes in the theatre, as less subwoofer is needed. Augmented audio requires no wearable accessories
“We give cinema operators a high value competitive advantage over in-home-entertainment. No remix or recode work is needed as our technology complements all existing surround systems”, CEO Mervi Heinaro adds.
“Our technology is universal and can be used for a wide range of seats. Low maintenance and a long lifespan are a given. We cover the whole audio range and the vibration with one Flexound module per seat”, says Flexound Chief of Cinema, Mika Oesch.
Have a seat at the FLEXOUND™ booth (#722) in CineEurope 2019, Barcelona on June 17-20, and secure the next big thing of cinema to your theaters.
FLEXOUND Augmented Audio™ adds the sensation of touch to all audio content. The versatile and patented technology was originally created to help autistic children. It can now be embedded into seats in cinemas, cars and airplanes, gaming chairs, cushions, furniture and more.
